Xmatkuil Fair 2026 in Mérida: dates and lineup
The Yucatán Xmatkuil Fair, Mérida's big November party, opens this Friday 6 and closes on Sunday 29 November. It is the 52nd edition, and the grounds, south of the city, are open from 8 in the morning to 2 at night.

What is happening
The Yucatán Xmatkuil Fair 2026 runs from Friday 6 to Sunday 29 November, at the fairgrounds in the community of Xmatkuil, south of Mérida. That is 24 days of activities, and it is the 52nd edition. Diario de Yucatán and Por Esto agree on the dates.
The grounds are open from 8 in the morning to 2 at night, according to Diario de Yucatán. There are rides, a food village, exhibitions, stages with shows and several music venues. There is also a livestock side, which is the original reason for the fair.
An honest note: part of the lineup was announced in October and can change. The time of each concert and the access to the grounds are worth confirming with the organizers before you go.
The lineup
The Teatro del Pueblo hosts the free concerts. According to Por Esto, the traditional vaquería opens on 6 November and Mega Boom follows on the 7th. Then come Viri Primera on the 9th, Los Súper Lamas on the 10th, El Pulpo y Sus Teclados on the 11th, Máster Kumbia on the 12th and pro wrestling on the 13th. There are more acts on the 16th, 17th, 18th, 20th and 23rd to 25th, with music marathons on the weekends, and wrestling again on the 29th.
At the Centro de Espectáculos Montejo, several concerts have free general admission, with a VIP area that has a fee: La Original Banda El Limón on 6 November, Deorro and Tribal Monterrey on the 7th, Reik on the 18th, Ha-Ash and Matisse on the 19th, Los Auténticos Decadentes and Los Caligaris on the 25th, Cañaveral on the 26th, Santos Bravos on the 27th and Bronco on the 29th.
Other Montejo concerts are ticketed: Carín León on the 13th, Marco Antonio Solís on the 14th, Christian Nodal on the 21st and Ozuna on the 28th. There are also ticketed shows at the Palenque, such as Guerra de Chistes on the 12th, and at the bullring, with jaripeo on the 21st and rodeo on the 28th.
One more event: on Saturday 28 at 6 in the evening there is a group wedding on the grounds. The paperwork is free and the sign-up has already closed, so it is more to watch and join in the celebration than to sign up for.
Livestock, food and tradition
The livestock side starts before the fair. The 29th National Brahman Exposition runs from 5 to 15 November. Inside it, the 22nd World Brahman Congress takes place from the 10th to the 15th, with about 800 cattle of the red and gray varieties, talks by specialists from other countries, a support booth for producers and an auction at the end.
For anyone who is just there to stroll, the food village is the must-stop to try regional food. The stages also have free shows and electronic music on weekends, plus a circus with performers for children.
Since the grounds open at 8 in the morning, you can choose your hours: earlier for the rides, the exhibition and the food, later for the concerts. If you are going for a big concert, arrive early.
How to get there
Access is via calle 50 Sur, in Mérida. Without a car, Va y Ven route 10 goes to Xmatkuil, and its stop is on calle 54 between 69 and 67, in front of the San Benito market. Other Va y Ven routes pass along the Periférico toward the grounds.
Entry has a fee and tickets are sold online; the ticketed Montejo concerts are sold separately. Diario de Yucatán said, in its latest update on 2 November, that the entry fee had not yet been announced, so check the official ticket sites before you leave.
If you drive, be patient with weekend traffic and confirm where to park. In this city, the fair is one of the events that moves the most people in November, so plan your exit ahead of time.
